2. Add Your Students Details & Go Through the Level Discovery Journey
- Add your student’s swimming details
- Follow our Level Discovery Journey You’ll be guided through a few simple questions to help identify the most suitable class and level.
- Still unsure? We’re here to help. If you’re unsure at the end of the journey, you’ll be prompted to book a call with our team so we can help find the right fit and answer any questions you may have.
3. Secure Your Class and Pay Deposit
Choose from our available classes and secure your preferred day and time by paying your deposit.
Once your deposit has been received, your free class will be automatically calculated and applied to your enrolment.
Common Questions
When will Saltwater Swim School Tarneit open?
We’re currently putting the finishing touches on our brand-new facility and are working towards opening in April/May 2027.
As we get closer to opening, we’ll keep you updated with all the latest information, including your confirmed lesson start date.
What happens if there is a delay in opening?
We’re working hard to ensure everything is ready for your first lesson. As with any new build, there can occasionally be changes to construction timelines.
If there are any changes that affect your enrolment or start date, we’ll communicate with you directly and keep you informed every step of the way.
Your deposit/payment will be automatically carried forward to the new start date. Your chosen day and time remain secured.
How do I know which level my child should be in?
Our Level Discovery Journey has been designed to make choosing the right class simple.
You’ll answer a few questions about your child’s age, swimming experience and current abilities, and we’ll guide you towards the most suitable level and class.
What if I’m still unsure about my child’s level?
No problem at all — we’re here to help.
If you’re unsure after completing the Level Discovery Journey, you’ll have the option to book a call with our team. We can talk through your child’s swimming experience and help you find the right starting point.

What happens during my child’s first lesson?
Your first lesson is all about helping your child feel comfortable, confident and excited to be at Saltwater.
We will get to know your child, observe their swimming ability and make sure they're comfortable in the water. We'll use this time to confirm that they've been placed in the right level and make any adjustments if needed.
You don't need to worry about getting everything perfect before you arrive — we're here to help
What happens if my child is nervous or doesn't want to get in?
That's completely normal — especially for a child's first lesson or when starting somewhere new.
Our teachers are experienced in helping children build confidence at their own pace. We won't force a child into the water before they're ready. We'll work with them through play and gentle encouragement to help them feel safe and comfortable.
If your child needs a little extra time, that's okay. Building confidence is part of learning to swim.

Why is a deposit required?
Due to the incredible level of interest, deposits help us confirm placements and schedule classes and instructors accordingly.
Can I change my preferred day or time after paying my deposit?
Absolutely. We know schedules can change, and we’ll do our best to accommodate any changes.

Assessment and Class Placement Policy
Assessments are conducted by our On-Deck Coordinators to determine your child’s current skill level and the most suitable class placement.
Based on the outcome of the assessment, your child may be placed in a different level than originally requested. This may also result in a change to the class day or time. Any changes to level or schedule will be made in accordance with the program structure and will be subject to class availability.
By participating in the assessment process, you acknowledge and agree that final class placement is determined by our On-Deck Coordinators and may be adjusted as needed to ensure the best learning environment for your child.
